Demand flexibility depends on connecting grid needs with responsive technologies in homes and businesses. This session explores that connection from end to end, from using AMI, DERMS, and transformer-level intelligence to identify local constraints and generate flexibility signals, to using smart panels and Matter-enabled devices to translate those signals into automated load management. Through utility demos and residential field studies, DRET utility partners will share how these technologies can work together to create a scalable, device-agnostic model for coordinating customer loads and distributed energy resources with real-time grid needs.
