Mr. Kirchhoff is Manager of Energy Efficiency Technical Services at SoCalGas, where he leads engineering, emerging technology assessment, laboratory testing, and technology strategy efforts. With more than 30 years of experience in energy engineering and building systems, he has worked extensively in utility energy efficiency program development, technology evaluation, and market deployment.

Mr. Kirchhoff has authored and presented technical papers for ACEEE, AESP, IDEA, and ESC on topics including energy efficiency policy and implementation, advanced HVAC systems, virtual chiller plants, passive cooling strategies, and commercial foodservice technologies. His work focuses on translating technical research and field performance data into practical solutions that support technology adoption, market transformation, and cost-effective energy savings.
