Xin Jin joined the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in 2014 and now leads the Grid Edge and Advanced Controls Group. His research focuses on building-grid integration and grid-edge decarbonization. He has led various RD&D projects funded by the US Department of Energy, state agencies, and utilities. One of his current projects focuses on affordable residential electrification under panel constraints. He received his PhD from Penn State and is a recipient of the 2018 R&D 100 Award.
